If volunteering is on your list this year, the first half of 2026 offers several meaningful ways to get involved locally. At A Child’s Hope Int’l, our volunteer opportunities are designed to be hands-on, welcoming, and accessible for individuals, families, schools, churches, and teams.
All of our public packing events take place at the Hope Factory in Sharonville, where volunteers pack high-protein meals that support children and families facing food insecurity both locally and globally. Whether you come once or make it a regular rhythm, your time directly translates into impact.
Below is a look at our first-half 2026 volunteer schedule, along with a preview of a larger youth-focused opportunity coming later in the year.
First-Half 2026 Volunteer Dates
If you’re searching for volunteer opportunities in Cincinnati that fit into a busy schedule, these dates are a great place to start. Each event is a public packing opportunity and typically lasts about two hours.
These events are open to individuals, families, small groups, schools, churches, and corporate teams. No prior experience is needed. Our team walks you through everything once you arrive.
A Volunteer Experience Built for Families
One thing that sets our volunteer opportunities apart is how family-friendly they are.
While the technical packing age is 8 years old, we know that families often serve together with younger children. For that reason, we:
Find meaningful ways for younger kids to participate
Invite littles to color and decorate meal boxes
Provide a small play area when kids need a break (supervised at your own risk)
Parents do not have to choose between volunteering and bringing their children along. Many families tell us these events become an easy, age-appropriate way to introduce kids to serving together.
Why Volunteer at the Hope Factory in Sharonville?
There are many volunteer opportunities in Cincinnati, but the Hope Factory offers something uniquely tangible.
When you volunteer here, you do not just hear about impact. You create it. You see meals assembled, work alongside people from across the city, and leave knowing exactly what your time accomplished.
Volunteers often come as:
Families looking for hands-on service
Student groups and schools
Youth ministries
Corporate teams
Church small groups
The environment is energetic, relational, and focused on doing real good in a short amount of time.
Looking Ahead: High School Packing Day (Date: TBD)
Later in 2026, we will be hosting a dedicated high school pack (formerly known as Crosstown Packout), a large-scale youth-focused packing event that brings schools from across the Cincinnati area together under one roof to serve.
This event is designed specifically with students in mind and creates space for:
Schools and youth groups to pack food side by side
Students to learn about hunger in meaningful, age-appropriate ways
A shared experience that builds unity across neighborhoods
While the date is still to be determined, this event will be one of our largest youth volunteer opportunities of the year.
How You Can Get Involved
There are two key ways to engage this year:
Sign up to volunteer - Join us at the Hope Factory in Sharonville and be part of a hands-on experience that directly supports children and families.
Give to sponsor a student – While public packing events are free, private groups provide the funding for the meals they pack, helping turn service into real, tangible impact.
Both options play a vital role in meeting real needs and strengthening our local community.
Start the Year With Purpose
If you have been looking for volunteer opportunities in Cincinnati that are practical, welcoming, and meaningful, we would love to have you join us during the first half of 2026.
Whether you come once, bring your family, or rally a group, your time matters.
