Stories of Hope
Stories of Hope
Priya is an 8-year-old girl from a small village in India. During COVID-19, she lost both of her parents and now lives with her grandmother, Meera, who is nearly 60 and struggles to provide for them. When Priya came to a Feed the Hungry Children program with a small bowl in her hands, community members shared her story with our partners. Today, Priya is enrolled in their free school and receives daily meals — along with her grandmother. She’s learning, laughing, and finding new friends. What began in loss is now becoming a story of hope.

During a recent home visit, our partner met the Dlamini family — grandparents caring for six grandchildren, with no one employed and only small pensions to buy food. They prayed together and shared encouragement from the Bible. The grandmother tearfully explained they had nothing to cook that day and were waiting for the children to return from school so they could go to the feeding program. Instead, God provided early. “God did a miracle,” she said. “You came at the right time.”

Renel and his mother fled northern Haiti, crossing into the Dominican Republic in search of safety and stability. Without legal papers, she couldn’t find reliable work, and their situation became desperate. When Renel arrived at one of our partner centers, he was severely malnourished. Thanks to the meals provided through A Child’s Hope Int’l, his body began to recover, his strength returned, and so did his smile. Today, Renel is healthy, active, and thriving.
